Rawaae’ Kanafani — literally meaning “Kanafani’s Masterpieces” is a Publication class project where students are supposed to “design a special book edition (at least three to four books)” for a certain poet, novelist, or an author. Besides designing the book covers, the project’s deliverables also include designing one full book chapter — including intro pages, index, chapter dividers, and inside pages, designing a bilingual promotional A6 booklet, and an A2 promotional poster announcing the launch of the special edition.

Ghassan Kanafani was a famous Palestinian journalist, novelist, and short story writer, whose writings were deeply rooted in Arab Palestinian culture, inspired a whole generation during and after his lifetime, both in word and deed. Here's the workflow of my project, Kanafani's Masterpieces, which is a collection that I made up — for the project's sake, of course, that includes three of his bestsellers, Men in the Sun (1963), A World That Is Not Ours (1959), and Back to Haifa (1970).

Disclaimer: All the logos, designs, and artworks created for this project are fictional and was just created for the sake of the project, and has nothing to do with the real books' publisher.
